Friday Night Registration at Holiday Inn-3930 South and Walden RD.Bmt. TX Hospitality Room President Board Room 5:30PM till 7:00PM then the Friday Night Mixer Pappadeaux Seafood Restaurant (Dutch)- 4040 I-10 7:15PM till 10:00PM. Saturday Picnic at Terrell Park -11:00AM till 3:00PM -We will provide Brisket, Beans, Potato Salad, Tea and Water. Bring a cover dish or desert if you can. Saturday Night Main Event- Art Museum of southeast TX -500 Main St.BMT 7:00PM til 10:00PM. Class of '73 Group Picture 7:15PM Art Museum of Southeast TX $20.00.

We had a 35 year Reunion meeting June 23, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Present were Cathy (Carswell) Sheffield, Joe Rose, Sylvia (Galindo) Harrell, and Pat (Adkins) Cortez. New committee members are as follows: Decorating Committee-Yvonne Duhon Jones Branch, Co-chair-Roy Birdsong (tentative), Committee Secretary-Pat (Adkins) Cortez, and Contact Person-Joe Rosa. We should have reunion festivities finalized in approximately four-five weeks and we will send a mail out at that time. If you have changed your address or telephone number or know of any classmate that has, please contact Joe Rosa at (409)455-7284 to give him updated information. Our next meeting will be July 2, 2008 at 5:30 p.m., in the Multi Purpose Building, 802 East Lavaca (corner or Lavaca and University Drive) park in the back of building, Room 218. We will celebrate our 35 Year Reunion at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas on Saturday September 27, 2008, 7:00PM - 10:00PM. One of our commttiee members (Albert Faggard), helped us get a nice size discount with his Art Museum membership. Thank You Albert! We are still working on a Social for Friday night. The Planning Committee set the price for $35.00 per person; and they are working on including a couple of tickets for beer or wine for $50.00 per person. Bruce's Huge Big League Debut
Former West Brook star Jay Bruce
had a pretty decent Major League debut.
He went 3-for-3, 2RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
CINCINNATI (AP) - Adam Dunn hit a three-run homer that set a club record for left-handed batters, and Jay Bruce went 3-for-3 in his eagerly awaited debut Tuesday night, leading the Cincinnati Reds to a 9-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Reds beat the Pirates for the first time in four games this season and wiped away the aftertaste of their 2-5 trip to Los Angeles and San Diego, which ended with an 18-inning loss on Sunday. Bruce, a 21-year-old outfielder who is the Reds' top prospect, had a pair of singles, a double, two walks, a stolen base and a pair of RBIs. He drew one standing ovation after another. At the outset, the focus was on Bruce's debut. Teammates had a little fun, tricking him into running onto the field alone for the start of the game - Bruce caught on after a few steps. The crowd of 17,964 gave him a standing ovation and yelled "BRUUUUCE!" when he came to bat in the bottom of the first. Dozens of cameras flashed as fans recorded his four-pitch walk for posterity. Bruce got another standing ovation when he singled to left field in his next plate appearance, and again when he singled home a run in the sixth as the Reds pulled away. He completed his big night with a run-scoring double in the seventh.

We are coming down to the wire to get our reunion book published and so far we have about 40 detailed profiles turned in to Cathy Sheffield. We would really like to have as many as possible because we are dedicating a page with your picture from the annual for each one who submits a profile.
Even if you are not coming to the weekend we would really like to hear from you.
If you are signed up on the web site we still need you to fill out the online Reunion Book Form.
